The 2008-2009 school year was amazing for Alpha Gamma Delta! We’re looking forward to having an even better 2009-2010 year!

We participated March Madness, a dance competition put on by Chi Omega to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation, on March 28th and won Best Costume!

The Alpha Gams also won 2nd place in Greek Week. In addition, we took home numerous Greek Awards: Individual awards of Outstanding Female Scholar: Megan Frantik, Outstanding Senior Member: Infinity Cole, and Outstanding President. Also the Chapter awards received were: Scholarship, Community Service and Philanthropy, Member Development, Sisterhood, Membership Recruitment/Intake Retention, Risk Reduction and Management.

And we’re proud to say that the Beta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta, was the first chapter at ISU to receive the Distinguished Chapter Award!

Janet Stover, the Alumnae Coordinator, planned a successful International Reunion Day Luncheon. We would like to thank all of our Alumnae for celebrating with us! A new award, the Valerie Kemp-Wolf Sisterhood Award, will be given out at every IRD now, to recognize an outstanding member for her contribution to the Chapter, her sisters, and her community. It will be given by the women from the pledge class of 1973 in loving memory of Valerie Kemp-Wolf.

On the Agenda:

Formal Recruitment! It will be held August 27 through August 30.
The Alpha Gams will be hosting the 3rd Annual Powderpuff Football Tournament on October 3.
